"Inspired in Barcelona: Terra Rossa" at Disseny Hub Barcelona

After the success of “Inspired in Barcelona: Terra Rossa” during its exhibition in April at the Fuorisalone in the Milan Design Week 2024, it is exhibited at the Disseny Hub Barcelona from 16 October 2024 to 12 January 2025.

“Terra Rossa” is a group exhibition inspired by the use of clay as a primordial and universal element for the creation of the first design artefacts, especially common in the Mediterranean region. Curated by Júlia Esqué with a concept by Apartamento Studios, the centrepiece of the installation is a monumental pyramid with 80 jugs made by 16 creatives.

The artistic ‘alterations’ have been carried out in collaboration with the ceramist Eloi Bonadona. Half of the artists, Jaume Ramírez, Lolo and Sosaku, OWL Furniture and Objects, Helena Fradera, Klas Ernflo, Claudia Valsells and Robbie Whitehead, worked on their botijos in their raw state, before firing. The other half, Mark Bohle, Gina Berenguer, Laura Brichs, Luna Paiva, Pepa Reverter, Albert Riera Galceran, Xavier Mañosa and About Arianne, intervened on the surface of the jug, without altering its original structure.
