Barcelona Design Week is one of the most important creative events in Barcelona.
Barcelona Design Week, created by BcD in 2006, is the design sector’s main event in the city and one of the most important Design Weeks on the international calendar (Best architecture, design and technology events 2018-2023 for the magazine Dezeen).
The objective of Barcelona Design Week is to bring design to the citizens and to mobilize the sector in order to share the vitality of Barcelona’s design with the world, highlighting its social and economic importance and inviting the different audiences of this event to experience it.
During the Barcelona Design Week, the main agents of the sector, and all the lovers of this discipline, participate in an extensive programme with over 100 activities open to the city, including especially exhibitions, workshops, conferences and open days, but also activities more specifically aimed at the professional and business audience.
Barcelona Design Week is a founding member of World Design Weeks, a network which includes design weeks and festivals from all over the world, based in the offices of Barcelona centre de Disseny in the Disseny Hub Barcelona.
