"12 out of 100K": Barcelona's most innovative design takes the stage at Design Miami
arcelona will once again take the stage at Design Miami, the world’s leading collectible design fair, from December 3rd to 8th, with the exhibition “12 out of 100K”. This initiative is promoted by the Barcelona City Council through the Institute of Culture (ICUB) and Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub), curated by Il·lacions Design Gallery, and organized by the BCD Foundation through its platform Inspired in Barcelona®.
“12 out of 100K” presents the work of 12 outstanding creators linked to Barcelona, showcasing the city’s diversity, talent and innovative spirit. The selected talents include ELIURPI, Miquel Subiràs, Max Enrich, Rosa Cortiella, Kutarq, Curro Claret, Bussoga, Antoni Pallejà, Joshua Linacisoro, Andreu Carulla, Cristian Herrera Dalmau, and a special mural by Cristian Zuzunaga.

The “12 out of 100K” exhibition embodies the unique creative pulse of Barcelona, a city known for its rich tradition in design, architecture, and craftsmanship. The initiative celebrates the multicultural community of over 100,000 creators in Barcelona, showcasing a dynamic and innovative spirit that continues to thrive and shape the global design scene.
The city’s 18 top-tier design schools are integral to this ecosystem, with 10,000 students graduating every year, further expanding the pool of talent and reinforcing Barcelona’s leadership in the international design landscape.
Il·lacions Design Gallery has curated a selection of works that represent the cutting-edge of Barcelona’s design community. Through “12 out of 100K”, the gallery highlights the diversity of design voices, with a focus on innovative, disruptive, and avant-garde expressions. From critical design and speculative design to social and transitional design, these works reflect the wide-ranging specialties and unique perspectives that characterize Barcelona’s design identity.
